In September, regardless of the strike, the new grant amount must be credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries. This includes the new R3,070 grant. Living expenses keep rising; some families would almost say that they rely on whether or not these payments arrive on time. So how really can one know whether the money has been deposited into the account?
What is a R3,070 SASSA Grant?
The R3 070 grant has been provided as a new-name for one of the permanent social assistance payments given by SASSA, which have undergone a slight increase recently to help South Africans cope with inflation in terms of rising food and transport prices. Depending upon the type of grant, such as Old-Age, Disability grant, Care Dependency allowance, etc. Upward modification has rendered it possible that some of the beneficiaries now receive R3 070 per month. This increase is just one measure of many, and it is well targeted to relieve the vulnerable from rent pressure.
