What Is An SRD R350 Grant?
An SRD R350 Grant was initiated during the time of the COVID-19 epidemic and has been extended numerous times due to widespread unemployment and severe financial instability of many households. Supposed to be just for temporary relief, the grant nowadays acts as a serious safety net for more than 8 million beneficiaries nationwide. October 2025 payments shall remain R350 for each approved applicant, and said amount shall be paid directly into the payment channel of the respective approved applicants.
October 2025 Payment Schedule
The official payment dates are according to SASSA for October of the year 2025. Payment will be staggered in October 2025, starting from the 22nd of October and ending on the 30th. On the other hand, the exact date for payment to a beneficiary depends on whether or not that beneficiary opted to be paid via payment through certain banks and upon the internal verification procedure of such banks:
- 22-24 october: The first batch is paid into Approved Bank Accounts
- 25-27 october: Payments to Gold Card holders for SASSA/Postbank
