Payment Schedule 2025
Established is the payment schedule to ensure that the grant is paid promptly.
- September 2025: 6 December 2025
- October 2025: 5 December 2025
SASSA has announced that grants will be paid during the first week of each month, providing families with predictable financial support.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are conditions that need to be established for applicants for the R500 Child Support Grant:
- Age: Must be less than 18 years of age.
- Residence: The child and the caregiver must reside in South Africa.
Caregiver’s Income: The caregiver’s annual income must not exceed R60,000 for a single person or for a couple R120,000. - Caregiver’s Status: The grant is available for primary caregivers, including parents, legal guardians, and grandparents.
