The October 2025 payment window has been scheduled for the Child Support Grant at R560 and the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grants. The main SASSA grants will be paid out throughout the early days of October, with payments on SRDs following later in October.
Main Grants Payment Schedule
As per official SASSA schedule dates, grants for older persons having a disability will be paid on Thursday, 2 October 2025, and Friday, 3 October 2025, respectively. All other grants, such as child support, foster care, care dependency, and other related grants, will commence payment on Monday, 6 October 2025.
Due to the receipt of funds being open far beyond the first payout day, recipients are assured that there really is no rush to withdraw on the first day.
SRD R370 & Grant Amounts
The SRD grant (R370 as of 2025) will be operating on another schedule, with the SRD grant being processed and paid between 24 and 30 October 2025 (business days only).
Grant amounts for October 2025 are expected to largely remain in line with previous notices:
- Old Age (60–74): R2,315
- Old Age (75+) and War Veterans: R2,335
- Disability & Care Dependency: R2,315
- Child Support: R560
- Foster Child Grant: R1,250
What Beneficiaries Should Do
They should check online or via SASSA portals for confirmation of their eligibility and payment dates. They should also verify Bank/payment point details in their SASSA profile to avoid any delays.
Allow 2-3 business days for the banks to reflect the amounts if payment does not appear on the scheduled date. Afterward, the persons concerned can call through the toll-free Number 0800 60 10 11 or visit the nearest SASSA office.
