- Limpopo.
Light showers might hit the Western Cape and Northern Cape. On the other hand, strong winds and rough seas are expected to batter their coastal areas, so fishermen and small-boat operators will have to exercise caution.
Flood and Damage to Infrastructure
These days, floods are kind of localized in urban centers, during heavy downpours with saturated grounds in the informal setups and low-lying areas. Major towns like Johannesburg, Durban, and Pretoria have drainage systems that might collapse in heavy rains, blocking roads and destroying property.
Water levels are rising threateningly in the rural areas, along the rivers, and dam catchments with the potential of an instant flash flood which would cause landslides. Responders have been busy with emergency responses, yet the officials themselves strongly advocate for any measures one would want to take on their own for safety.
