The Importance of September Payments

The September 2025 payment grants were released during a time when food prices and, in some cases, electricity and wages were suffering hindrance from household inflation. Transport fees, groceries, and school supplies are some expenses covered by many SASSA grants for students. Therefore, the families directly feel the pain in their pockets. Monthly disbursements will inject billions of rands into the economy and so will spur entrepreneurs especially in the rural areas where the grant money actually goes.
